IRMA : Written Test Result Declared

Result of written test conducted on November 11, 2012 for admission to PRM course (2013-15) has been announced a while back. Cut-off percentiles (section-wise and overall) for participation in Group Activity (GA) and Personal Interview (PI) for PRM 2013-15 are listed in the Table below.

    First of all I really appreciate the way you help MBA aspirants through this forum. Thank you for this. I haven’t posted to you ever but I have been following your blog. And it answers all my questions.

    I have a call for IRMA GA/PI with somewhere 86.77%ile. I have always aspired to join IRMA. There was a webinar on IRMA last week which I could not attend due to odd office shift timings.

    I wanted to check if there is going to be another session for this, and if there is going to be a PDP session for IRMA specific preparation. I am looking forward to get acquainted more with it.

    • Meenal, the preparation for IRMA process is similar to that of other institutes but there are IRMA specific sessions for students who have IRMA calls. Please let me know the city you belong to so that I can direct you to the correct person for information on special sessions. YOu can mail me at gp@careerlauuncher.com also. If you are a CL student or have enrolled for PDP separately then you can go thru the missed webinar in your SIS.

    Section Analytical Reasoning 68.46
    Quantitative Ability 42.70
    English Comprehension 90.05
    Issues of Social Concern 88.39
    Total 82.81

    Do i have a real chance or i will be wasting time and should rather focus on other exams?

    • Sandip, since you have been shortlisted you have a chance of getting admission to IRMA. While there is no reservation for BPL candidates the cuoffs are lower so put your best foot forward to ensure selection in the institute.

    Please give me an approximate word range (for eg 250-300 words ) for the XAT essay . Please tell me approximate word range and ideal number of paragraphs in the XAT essay.

  8. Hi sir, i have got a call from irma too. I hv secured 80.55 percentile. Want to knw wht is the weightage of written test marks in d final merit list formed after gd/pi..
    Also is there any group task (gt) too..? (i hv read on a internet smwher, a person has mentioned abt it in his review of gdpi)

    • Aarti, IRMA selection process has a Group Activity which a may or may not include Group Discussion. The weights for various components are:
      Written Test – 50%
      Group Activity – 25%
      Personal Interview – 25%

        [As IRMA’s cutoff is low compared to other management exmas, nd too many students would be coming up for interview..]

        • Aarti, in IRMA the written test has a weight of 50% and the GA & PI have a weight of 25 each. So if you do well in the GA & interview you should be able to make it to the final list.

    and will always be thankful to you. since i was following your post since it was started, all information given by you were realy helpful, mostly the section issue of social concern. after writting my irma test cheked my answer with your irma analysis and answer and was hoping of getting the call.

  12. good morning sir.i did not get a call from IRMA bcoz i could not cross the cut off of social concern.that same thing happened in iift.didnt got a call inspite of getting 48.23 in iift.i gave cat and it went pretty well.i just wanted to ask u that if by any chance i didnot get a call from IIMs (which should not happen) what should i do in future.??should i drop and prepare for CAT?? (i am not placed).please sir give me some suggestions.

    • Rhitwiz, you are missing calls by a whisker and this is unlikely to continue. The law of averages is bound to turn in your favour. You still have XAT and CMAT to take care of. Do not give up, put your best foot forward and hope for the best. Let us talk about dropping a year only after all results are out.
